BITCRUSHR (Thomas Alrek from Bergen) is one of the builders of Norwegian hardstyle: part of the scene since 2009, first as a DJ and co-founder of Bergen’s earliest hardstyle events, now as a producer whose name is attached to the country’s flagship event anthem.

From Bergen’s first parties to a national anthem

Alrek’s long game paid off in 2026, when Real Hardstyle Norway made ‘The Beginning of the Real’ its official anthem, a statement booking for an artist who had spent years warming up the same community from the DJ booth, including sets at Hardstyle DNA Indoor Bergen in 2023 and Hardstyle Euforia IV in 2024. The comeback that led there started in 2022 with ‘Sit Down’, his return release after time away from the scene.

Euphoric melody, raw chassis

His production style deliberately straddles hardstyle’s two halves: euphoric melody on top, rawstyle weight underneath. The recent run shows the range: ‘In My Head’ reworked by XENDER in 2025, ‘Break Me Apart’ with Yhimself, the grin-inducing ‘Here We Go Again (Theme From San Andreas)’ with fellow newcomer KNST, and the solo single ‘ALIGNMENT’ in July 2026.

Why he matters

Norway has never had a bigger appetite for the harder styles, and BITCRUSHR sits at the middle of that growth: a scene-builder who now soundtracks the events he helped make possible.
