About HDRR
HDRR is Michael Hirsch, a hard dance producer from Freiburg in southern Germany. He first heard hard dance at 16, by way of jumpstyle and euphoric hardstyle, and never left: rawstyle and hardcore followed, and today the listening runs from happy hardcore through industrial hardcore, hard techno and hardstyle with all of its branches.
The radar came first
In 2019 he wanted new hard dance on the way to work every morning rather than once a week, so he built the Hard Dance Release Radar: every new release in the scene picked up the day it appears and sorted into free genre playlists that refresh daily. It turned out other people wanted the same thing, and it gave smaller artists somewhere to be found alongside the headliners.
Releasing under the same name
Running the radar means hearing everything the scene puts out, every day. In 2026 the first release under HDRR went out on Spotify. More is planned across hard techno, rawstyle and jump, because committing to one subgenre is the one thing HDRR is not interested in.

Every new HDRR release lands on the Hardstyle Release Radar the day it hits Spotify. The full tracked catalogue is listed above.
Questions,answered
Who is HDRR?
HDRR is Michael Hirsch, a hard dance producer from Freiburg in southern Germany. He has been part of the hard dance scene since he was 16 and built the Hard Dance Release Radar in 2019, several years before releasing music under the same name.
What genre is HDRR?
Hard dance in the broad sense rather than one subgenre. The first release is hardstyle, and hard techno, rawstyle and jump are all planned. HDRR deliberately does not commit to a single style.
Is HDRR the same as the Hard Dance Release Radar?
Yes. The Hard Dance Release Radar came first, in 2019. Michael started releasing his own music under the HDRR name in 2026, so the project and the artist share one name.
How do I contact HDRR?
By email at hello@hdrr.info, for bookings, promos and press. The full artist page is at hdrr.info/music.
