Doruksen

Doruksen owns one of the most recognizable flavours in modern hard techno: the squelch of a 303. Born Doruk Abatay in Cyprus and based in London, he folds acid basslines, 90s-techno references and hardcore energy into a sound that stands out sharply in a scene that often competes on force alone.

Piano first, acid later

A childhood of piano lessons preceded the club: his first DJ set came in May 2015, but the producer story starts in early 2021, when he stepped into the hard techno scene just as it exploded. The breakthrough came that summer with “ACXD” and “Crave” (titles that announce the acid obsession), followed by “Intoxicated”, the track that took the scene by storm and remains his signature; its Super Slowed edit is his most popular release on HDRR’s tracking.

The acid lane

Where peers like Alignment bring trance melodies and OGUZ brings groove, Doruksen’s calling card is that acid line snaking through the kicks, a direct lineage from techno’s earliest days, revved to hard techno tempo. Stages from Amsterdam to Complex Maastricht and AFAS Live have followed.
