About Ghost Stories
Ghost Stories began as one track that refused to stay a track. When D-Block & S-te-Fan released ‘Angels & Demons’ in 2017 (a record that went gold), its haunted-house theming and Evelyn’s vocals struck a nerve the duo hadn’t planned for.
From trilogy to live act
‘Angels & Demons’ grew into a trilogy with ‘Twilight Zone’ and ‘Ghost Stories’ (2018), three cinematic videos sharing a single main character. The reception convinced Diederik Bakker, Stefan den Daas and vocalist Evelyn (Diederik’s sister) to turn the aesthetic into a full act, and Ghost Stories premiered live at Reverze 2019: hardstyle’s anthem machine exploring its shadow side, with tracks like ‘Lake Of Fire’ extending the songbook.
A deliberate ending
Ghost Stories never chased volume: HDRR tracks just eight releases across the project’s life, each staged as an event. The ending was staged the same way: a final single, ‘Felt The Ghost’ (November 2025), and a farewell performance at D-Block & S-te-Fan’s 20-year anniversary show in Haaren on 8 November 2025 closed the chapter on the trio’s own terms.
