About Gunz For Hire

Gunz For Hire is what happened when two of raw hardstyle’s architects decided the music needed a story. Ran-D and Adaro had collaborated since 2009’s ‘My Name Is Hardstyle’; in 2011 they made the partnership permanent, dressing rawstyle’s aggression in mob suits and building a universe of crime-film theming around it.

Kings of the underground

The early A2 Records years delivered ‘Gangsters Don’t Dance’, ‘Put It On’ and ‘Bolivia’, tracks that turned the duo into headliners in their own right, separate from their solo careers. When the pair co-founded Roughstate in 2015 with B-Front and Frequencerz, Gunz For Hire moved with them, and the hits kept coming: ‘Bella Ciao’, ‘Plata O Plomo’, ‘No Mercy’, ‘Kings of the Underground’, ‘Sorrow’.

The live act

What sets Gunz For Hire apart is the show. The live act (suits, storyline visuals, CO2 guns, flamethrowers) became festival legend and a fixture at Defqon.1, Qlimax and Decibel, with a strong claim to being the most successful live act hardstyle has produced. Few side projects outgrow their founders’ main aliases; this one did, on stage at least.

Still loaded

The catalogue keeps moving: HDRR tracks 68 Gunz For Hire releases, led on Spotify by ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ (2023), with ‘Bang Bang’ (2025) proving the duo still ships new material fifteen years in.

Every new Gunz For Hire release lands on the Hardstyle Release Radar the day it hits Spotify. The full tracked catalogue is listed above.
