About LNY TNZ

LNY TNZ treats genre borders as a dare: the Dutch project (begun by Mitchell Vreeswijk and Jan Stadhouders) came up through underground hardstyle bootlegs and turned an allergy to labels into a brand. “FVCK GENRES” is both their motto and their record label, and the catalogue backs it up: hardstyle into rawstyle into psy-trance into hard techno, whatever serves the drop.

From bootlegs to Barong

After early years in the hardstyle underground and a short break from hard music, the project’s career took off in the early 2010s through collaborations with acts like Ruthless and Da Tweekaz, and a signing to Yellow Claw’s Barong Family, the label that put their genre-blending instincts on international stages. Bookings followed at EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and Defqon.1. In 2019 Vreeswijk stepped away to follow his own path, and Stadhouders has flown the FVCK GENRES flag solo since.

The Fortnite moment

“So Easy”, made with Da Tweekaz, is credited as the first hardstyle track ever featured in Fortnite, a fitting milestone for an act whose whole mission is smuggling the harder styles into the mainstream. On HDRR’s tracking the current favourites are “Land Of Tomorrow”, “Weisse Nase” and a hardstyle rework of “Creep”, drawn from one of the radar’s biggest catalogues at roughly 190 releases.
