Da Tweekaz

Da Tweekaz (Kenth Kvien and Marcus Nordli) are the proof that hardstyle can hit hard and grin at the same time. The Norwegian duo built one of the biggest careers in hard dance on melodic drops, pop-culture covers and a refusal to take themselves too seriously.

From Oslo to the heart of the scene

The two met in Oslo and formed Da Tweekaz in 2007, after years of experimenting with different styles. Early tracks like ‘Angeli Domini’ found their way online and earned them their first signing, and in 2012 they moved to Belgium, the home of their long-time label Dirty Workz and a springboard into the European festival circuit. From there the rise was steady: today they are fixtures on the mainstages of the scene’s biggest events.

Sound and signature moments

Da Tweekaz operate on the euphoric end of hardstyle: bright melodies, big vocals and drops engineered for singalongs rather than intimidation. Their remixes and covers are a trademark (most famously their hardstyle remix of fellow Norwegian Alan Walker’s ‘On My Way’), and they have collaborated with names as varied as Timmy Trumpet, R3hab and W&W. Since 2017 they have doubled as Tweekacore, their happy hardcore alias, feeding the genre’s revival with the same sugar-rush energy.

Beyond the stage

When the 2020 pandemic shut down festivals, the duo launched Tweeka TV, a weekly livestream that drew up to 15,000 viewers and has passed 100 episodes, one of the scene’s most successful direct lines between artists and fans. It typifies what makes Da Tweekaz work: consistency, community and fun, in a genre that often defaults to darkness.
