About Rebelion

Rawstyle is a Dutch industry, and Rebelion crashed it from Falkirk. Gary Odea and Raymond Baird sketched the idea at Hard Bass 2013 in the small hours, dropped the second L because it looked cooler, and mailed their first track ‘Extermination’ to Gearbox Digital as a demo. The Dutch label signed them and gave Scotland a seat at raw’s top table.

From bedroom to Empire

By early 2016 the duo had traded Raymond’s bedroom for a real studio, and the output grew ambitious fast: the 23-track album ‘Empire’ (2018) announced them as album artists in a singles genre, and ‘Artificial Intoxication’ (2022) (alongside hardstyle.com’s fan-voted Best Artist award the same year) confirmed the top-tier status. Then came their own label, Acid Reign, launched with ‘City Lights’, a number one across multiple hard dance charts.

Anthem years

The scene’s biggest commissions followed: ‘Capital Of Crazy’ opened as the official Intents Festival 2025 anthem, and ‘The Loudest City’ followed as the Decibel outdoor 2026 anthem. In HDRR’s tracking, ‘Save The Day’ (2026) currently leads a catalogue of over 200 tracked releases.

The company they keep

Rebelion’s collaboration sheet maps raw’s elite: 13 shared credits with Warface, plus work with Malice, Vertile and Sub Zero Project. Not bad for two lads whose local scene had to be built around them.

Every new Rebelion release lands on the Hardstyle Release Radar the day it hits Spotify. The full tracked catalogue is listed above.

Questions,answered

Who are Rebelion?

Rebelion are Scottish producers Gary Odea and Raymond Baird from Falkirk, a rare non-Dutch success story at rawstyle's top level. The idea for the act was born at Hard Bass 2013; the single-L spelling stuck because it looked cooler.

How did Rebelion break through?

They sent their first track 'Extermination' as a demo to the Dutch label Gearbox Digital, which signed them and became their home for years. In 2022, hardstyle.com's fan vote named them Best Artist.

Which anthems have Rebelion produced?

'Capital Of Crazy', the official Intents Festival 2025 anthem, and 'The Loudest City', the Decibel outdoor 2026 anthem, two of the scene's biggest commissions in back-to-back years.

What label are Rebelion on?

Their own: Acid Reign, launched with 'City Lights', which hit number one across multiple hard dance charts. Their album run includes 'Empire' (2018) and 'Artificial Intoxication' (2022).
