Rejecta (Wesley Joosten) pulled off one of rawstyle’s great entrances: four years of silent craft, then a debut on the genre’s biggest indoor stage.

The Qlimax reveal

Joosten spent four years perfecting his production before anyone knew his name. The unveiling came at Qlimax 2017, when Frequencerz dropped his tracks ‘Followed’ and ‘Deserve To Die’ during their set, a co-sign in front of tens of thousands. The scene took notice immediately: ‘Followed’ climbed to #3 on the Hardstyle.com charts and hit #1 on Spotify’s Viral Top 50 in the Netherlands. Few careers in hard dance have started with that kind of proof of concept.

The Roughstate circle

Rejecta found his home at Roughstate, the label founded by Ran-D, Frequencerz, Adaro and B-Front, and he has worked with virtually that entire circle, plus E-Force. The association shows in his sound: raw’s aggression delivered with the big-room polish that makes Roughstate releases translate from festival pit to streaming playlist.

Building the catalogue

With ‘The Keymaker’ project paving the way toward his second album, Rejecta keeps executing the plan his four silent years implied: patient, deliberate, and always release-day sharp. His tracked catalogue on HDRR keeps growing alongside contemporaries like Aversion and Killshot.
