Wildstylez

Wildstylez sits in hardstyle’s innermost circle. Joram Metekohy, born 1983 in Veenendaal, started producing in 2004 with Ruben Hooyer under the alias Seizure, then debuted solo in late 2007 with ‘Life’z A Bitch / Missin’’ on Scantraxx Reloaded, the sub-label run by Headhunterz.

Project One and ‘Tonight’

That connection became the genre’s most famous partnership: in 2008 the two formed Project One, hardstyle’s defining supergroup. A year later, ‘Tonight’ (credited to Headhunterz & Wildstylez vs Noisecontrollers) became one of the most popular hardstyle records of its time, and in 2012 the same trio delivered the Defqon.1 anthem ‘World of Madness’.

Metekohy’s fingerprints are on the scene’s infrastructure too: Digital:Age, founded 2010 with Noisecontrollers; his own Lose Control Music, later joined by Max Enforcer; and in 2018, Art of Creation with Headhunterz, the label now carrying the euphoric torch with acts like Sound Rush.

Still writing the melody

‘The Upside Down’ (2025) currently leads his Spotify catalogue in HDRR’s tracking, the latest in a two-decade run of records that made emotional, vocal-driven hardstyle the genre’s public face.
