Brennan Heart

Brennan Heart (Fabian Bohn from Helden in the Dutch province of Limburg) has spent two decades proving that hardstyle can be written like songs without losing its kick. Producer, label boss and brand builder, he is one of the genre’s most complete careers.

From duo to solo force

Bohn came up through techno and trance experiments before co-founding the duo Brennan & Heart in 2002 with Pieter Heijnen. When the pair split after more than three years, Heijnen carried on as DJ Thera and Bohn fused the duo’s name into his own, keeping a second outlet alive in Blademasterz, the melodic-hardstyle alias he revived in 2020 after years of silence. In 2006 he joined Scantraxx (the label founded by The Prophet), where his melodic instincts sharpened into a signature, and his 2009 debut album ‘Musical Impressions’ announced a solo artist with range.

Building an empire

In 2012 Brennan Heart left Scantraxx and founded his own label, later rebranded as the WE R Music group, with WE R Raw serving the darker end of the spectrum. On top of it he built I AM HARDSTYLE: a label, radio show, merchandise line and event series that grew into one of the scene’s strongest brands, staging shows far beyond the Dutch heartland. Few artists in hard dance own as much of their own ecosystem.

The sound

Brennan Heart’s lane is euphoric hardstyle at its most song-driven: big vocal hooks, emotional builds and drops that resolve like choruses. With over 100 releases behind him, tracks like ‘Just as Easy’ opened the genre’s door to listeners who might never have found it otherwise, and his collaborations run across the scene’s front rank, from Wildstylez to the newer euphoric generation like Sound Rush.
