About Dj Thera
DJ Thera’s alias hides an origin story in plain sight: ‘Thera’ is an anagram of ‘Heart’. Pieter Heijnen (born 1979 in Tegelen) spent the early 2000s working with Fabian Bohn, first as Bass Driver and then as Brennan & Heart, the duo they ran from 2002 to 2005. When it split, Bohn fused the name into Brennan Heart; Heijnen kept the anagram and went his own way through hardstyle.
Music produced from the heart
That way turned out to be infrastructure. In 2008 Heijnen founded Theracords (motto: ‘Music Produced from the Heart’) and grew it into a family of imprints: Therabyte (2009), Theracords Classics (2016) and Theracords LABS (2018).
