Dr Donk

Dr Donk is Deutscher Krach’s resident physician: a Cologne producer who performs in a doctor’s coat (occasionally a straitjacket) and prescribes some of the hardest, funniest uptempo coming out of Germany.

The Clinic

In December 2024 he opened his own practice: Clinic Recordings, launched in collaboration with Kontor Records as a home for modern uptempo and rawtempo. The launch was pure Krach excess: an advent calendar releasing a brand-new track every single day, 21 tracks deep, with EPs like Operation Contrast following on the label. He has also headlined his own “Uptempo Poison” event in Hanover, extending the medical universe from streaming into the club.

The sound and the circle

Dr Donk’s releases run on overdriven kicks, huge donk-flavoured basslines and titles that refuse to behave: “Bubblegum”, “Datenschutz”, the 2026 hit “KISS KISS”. He was in the Krach story from the start: “New Drug” with Noiseflow, released in January 2024, was one of the movement’s first calling cards. Collaborations with GPF, Lil Texas and Unicorn On Ketamine have cemented his place in the wider uptempo game, and his release pace (roughly a track every other week through 2026) makes him one of the most productive names in the scene.

Why he’s worth tracking

Among the Deutscher Krach core, Dr Donk is the one with his own label infrastructure and the biggest catalogue, which makes him the best single barometer for where the German uptempo wave is heading next.
