About Noisecontrollers

Noisecontrollers started with a mission statement (bring hardstyle to the next level) and unusual ingredients: when Bas Oskam and Arjan Terpstra teamed up in late 2005, one came from hardtrance, the other from hip-hop production.

The live-act years

The response to their tracks was so strong that by 2007 they had built a dedicated live-act, and within a year were playing X-Qlusive, In Qontrol, Reverze, Hardbass and Qlimax across Europe, the USA and Australia. Their debut album ‘E=NC² (The Science of Hardstyle)’ branded the project’s nerdy-melodic identity, and 2010 brought a DJ Mag Top 100 debut at #90.

‘World of Madness’

In 2012 the project reached hardstyle’s summit: the official Defqon.1 anthem ‘World of Madness’, written with Wildstylez and Headhunterz, still the project’s most popular Spotify track in HDRR’s tracking. It followed 2009’s ‘Tonight’ with the same partners, plus the Digital Age label venture with Wildstylez, and the Decibel 2013 anthem with Alpha Twins.

Solo, but never quiet

Terpstra left in 2013; Oskam answered with the 2014 album ‘All Around’ and hasn’t slowed since, teaming up with Bass Modulators as NCBM for the Defqon.1 anthem ‘Dragonblood’, and collaborating across generations with artists like Devin Wild while flying the flag for melody-first hardstyle.

Every new Noisecontrollers release lands on the Hardstyle Release Radar the day it hits Spotify. The full tracked catalogue is listed above.
