elMefti is one of the rising names in hard techno, a producer whose sound is rooted in the rave but built for peak-time club floors. Born Moe Tinawi in Syria and now based in Germany, he came to production the long way round, first as a raver looking up at the booth, then as a bedroom producer chasing the sounds that moved him.

From bedroom beats to the techno charts

Time spent on sweaty dancefloors is what pulled elMefti toward the decks. He began experimenting in a small home studio, stitching together simple, catchy beats, and within a couple of years his releases were landing on Beatport’s techno and Hype charts. That momentum brought releases on labels such as Revised Records, Dogmatic Label and The Church Club Records, plus bookings across Germany and the Netherlands.

A rave-rooted hard techno

His sound has evolved from classic rave techno into the modern, club-banging hard techno he is known for now: fast, distorted and hook-led rather than purely functional. He has worked alongside producers like Zeltak and Per Pleks, and one of his standout moments on HDRR is the remix of ‘Vielleicht Vielleicht’ with Holy Priest. Tracks like ‘Under The Lights’, ‘Brain Scramble’, ‘Wanna Play?’ and ‘DEVIL’ show the same instinct for a catchy, high-energy drop.

Keeping the pace into 2026

elMefti has kept a relentless release schedule, with 2026 cuts like ‘BLOW THE SPEAKERS’, ‘Going Insane’, ‘Let’s Play A Game’ and ‘New Generation’ arriving in quick succession. He sits comfortably alongside hard techno peers such as Fantasm and Schrotthagen, part of a wave keeping the harder end of techno fresh.
