About Meccano Twins

Meccano Twins are longtime pillars of Italian hardcore, a project built by Cristian Nardelli and José Sendra and tied closely to the Traxtorm Records sound. Their music sits at the hard, industrial end of the genre, the kind of relentless kick work that made the Italian hardcore scene a force.

From Art of Fighters to a duo

The Meccano Twins name started in 2003, out of an idea within Art of Fighters, one of Traxtorm’s flagship acts. For a few years Nardelli carried the project as a solo producer, then in 2010 it changed shape again when José Sendra, previously active as Terminal Trauma, joined as the second half and frontman. That lineage keeps them wired into the core of the Italian scene alongside Art of Fighters.

Traxtorm and Brutale

In 2013 the duo put out the album ‘High Tech Hardcore’ on Traxtorm, and they went on to co-found Brutale, a label built to push harder and heavier sounds for the extreme end of the crowd. They also became familiar voices as regular mixers of the long-running Hardcore Italia podcast, helping document the scene they helped shape.

Still bringing the noise

More than two decades in, Meccano Twins keep releasing, with recent cuts like ‘Deep’, ‘Let Them Go’, ‘Heretic’ and ‘Never Came Back’ plus remix work such as ‘Capturing Matrix’. They stand shoulder to shoulder with other veteran hardcore names like DJ Mad Dog.
