Remzcore (Rémi Dechoux from Nancy) is frenchcore as France makes it: fast, melodic, funny when it wants to be, and entirely self-built.

Brutal Jesters to solo force

Dechoux started producing in 2010 and was drawn straight to frenchcore, first as half of the Brutal Jesters duo, a project that landed releases on platforms as big as Masters of Hardcore and Dr. Peacock’s Peacock Records. In 2016 he relaunched alone as Remzcore, and the solo project quickly outgrew everything before it.

Hits with a wink

Tracks like ‘Dynamite’ and ‘I’m a Pickle’ (millions of streams and views between them) capture what makes Remzcore work: 200 BPM off-beat kicks delivered with the mischief that separates frenchcore from its grimmer hardcore cousins. Collaborations with Dr. Peacock and Le Bask put him at the heart of the French scene’s front rank, and his festival record (Dominator, Q-BASE, Masters of Hardcore, BKJN vs Partyraiser, Vive la Frenchcore) covers every stage that matters at this tempo.

Building the roster

Like the genre’s other leaders, Remzcore turned artist into institution: his Remz Roster label arrived in 2018, followed in 2021 by Cawfee Break (named after his track ‘Cawfee’), which develops talents like Hysta, X-Pander, Sakyra and Lem-X. Lately his own sound has stretched toward early hardcore and raggatek, keeping the catalogue unpredictable.
