T78

T78’s catchphrase is “#onlybombs”, and the catalogue keeps the promise: heavy, sub-driven techno drops engineered for the exact moment a floor detonates. Manuele Tessarollo started mixing vinyl at 12 (converted by Snap!’s “The Power”) and played his first club slot in 1995 near Ferrara, decades before the project that made him a scene fixture. In between came a whole other career: from 2001 he produced hardstyle as Activator, a name that headlined the harder styles for years (with a stack of side aliases beside it) until he wound it down in 2017 to go all-in on techno.

Autektone

He launched T78 in 2015 to revive his teenage techno roots, and founded Autektone Records a year later, building it into a top-10 best-selling peak-time techno label on Beatport and a reliable source for the harder, faster direction the genre took. His own sound followed the same arc: each release harder than the last, culminating in the 2021 album “#ONLYBOMBS” and a permanent residency in Beatport’s peak-time charts, with 700,000+ monthly Spotify listeners along the way.

Bridge to the hard wave

T78 belongs to the generation that pulled mainstream techno toward hard techno (harder kicks, faster tempos, rave stabs) without abandoning production polish. On HDRR’s tracking his catalogue is led by “Enfant De La Rave” and “Crucifix”, sitting naturally beside the new wave’s names like Alignment and Doruksen.
