The KGB's is one of Technoboy's masked studio projects from the Titanic Records camp, remembered for 'Techno Gym' and a catalogue that the Bologna fleet kept remixing from within.

About The Kgb's

The KGB’s is Technoboy at his most masked, a Titanic camp project whose in-joke of a name fit an alias built for anonymity. Its tracked run stretches from 1998 to 2009, squarely across the years Bologna’s alias fleet defined Italian hardstyle.

Techno Gym

The calling card is ‘Techno Gym’ (2003), a title that aged into prophecy given hardstyle’s later gym-culture wave. In HDRR’s tracking the Hardstyle Guru remix leads the project’s catalogue (one Giusberti alias remixing another), with ‘Fahrenheit’ and ‘Superdisco’ (both later remixed by Technoboy under his own name) and ‘Yerba Diabolika’ in its TBY mix by Tuneboy filling out the run.

The fleet that remixed itself

That’s the pattern worth noticing: the Bologna camp’s aliases (TNT, Hardstyle Masterz, 2 Best Enemies, Dark Oscillators) constantly remixed each other’s records, a closed studio economy that made two producers look like a whole scene. ‘Channel Kgbs’ even got its own TNT remix in 2009, the flagship saluting the mask on the way out.

HDRR tracks 17 The KGB’s titles. The complete list is above. Giusberti’s current releases land on the Hardstyle Release Radar as Technoboy and TNT.

Questions, answered

Who are The KGB's?

The KGB's is a studio project of Cristiano Giusberti, better known as Technoboy, one of the many aliases the Italian hardstyle pioneer ran out of the Titanic Records camp between the late nineties and late 2000s.

What is The KGB's best-known track?

'Techno Gym' (2003): in HDRR's tracking its Hardstyle Guru remix leads the catalogue, one Technoboy alias remixing another. 'Fahrenheit' and 'Superdisco' later got Technoboy remixes under his own flag.

Are The KGB's still active?

No, the project's tracked run spans 1998 to 2009. Giusberti's output continues as Technoboy and as one half of TNT.
