About Tuneboy

Tuneboy is the quieter half of Italian hardstyle’s engine room - for years literally: Antonio Donà bought his first equipment in the early nineties, released a debut single in 1995, and spent the following decade shaping the Bologna school’s sound from behind the mixing desk, credited with more than 500 productions.

From Housensation to the booth

The Tuneboy project turned him into a name in his own right: ‘Housensation’ delivered the breakthrough, and ‘Demolition’, ‘Sexbusters’ and ‘I Will Growl’ kept the dancefloors supplied. The stage came surprisingly late: only in 2008 did Donà step out of the studio and into the DJ booth at Q-BASE, and the bookings snowballed: Qlimax, Defqon.1, X-Qlusive, In Qontrol, Decibel, HardBass and Tomorrowland.

The alias game

Like his partner Technoboy, Donà worked Saifam’s multi-alias playbook. K-Traxx carried his harder trance-era material (‘Hardventure’ was big enough that Technoboy remixed it in 2002), while Hardstyle Masterz and the four-man studio act Dark Oscillators pooled the Bologna camp’s talent under masked names.

TNT and the late golden age

Since 2002, TNT (Technoboy ‘N’ Tuneboy) has been the pairing’s flagship, and it carries his biggest modern numbers: ‘Hard Beat’ (2024) leads his Spotify catalogue in HDRR’s tracking, with solo material like ‘Cornflakes’ (2025) proving the output never stopped. HDRR tracks over 150 Tuneboy releases reaching back to 1997, a career as long as the genre’s.

Every new Tuneboy release lands on the Hardstyle Release Radar the day it hits Spotify. The full tracked catalogue is listed above.
