About Wild Motherfuckers

Wild Motherfuckers is what happens when Italy’s two biggest hardstyle exports stop being serious. Zatox (Gerardo Roschini) and Tatanka (Valerio Mascellino) had collaborated so often (18 shared credits in HDRR’s tracking) that the partnership needed its own flag; after a first run as Tat & Zat from 2007 to 2011, Wild Motherfuckers became the definitive one.

Fother Mucker

The 2007 single ‘Fother Mucker’ announced the project’s whole personality in one spoonerism: profanity flipped into a punchline, over kicks that were entirely serious. ‘Natural Born Raver’, ‘Hard Bass’ (2011), ‘Wild Wild West’ (which still leads the catalogue in HDRR’s tracking) and ‘Alarma’ (2016) built the duo into a fixture of hardstyle’s party wing.

Two veterans, one inside joke

The project works because of who’s behind it: Zatox brought the raw edge he’s known for, Tatanka the melodic instincts of a nineties club veteran, the same combination that made their solo catalogues pillars of the Italian school alongside the Bologna camp of Technoboy and Tuneboy.

The 2024 revival

After years of quiet, 2024 reopened the account: ‘Who Is Calling 2024’ and a 2024 remix of ‘Natural Born Raver’ brought the name back to modern playlists. HDRR tracks 20 Wild Motherfuckers releases from 2007 through 2025. The complete list is above.

Questions,answered

Who are Wild Motherfuckers?

Wild Motherfuckers is the duo of Italian hardstyle producers Gerardo Roschini (Zatox) and Valerio Mascellino (Tatanka). Before settling on the name, the two also worked together as Tat & Zat between 2007 and 2011.

What are Wild Motherfuckers' biggest tracks?

'Fother Mucker' (2007), 'Natural Born Raver', 'Wild Wild West' and 'Alarma'. In HDRR's tracking, 'Wild Wild West' leads the catalogue on Spotify.

What does 'Fother Mucker' mean?

It's the duo's trademark spoonerism, flipping the obvious profanity into a wink. The name set the tone for a project built on humour as much as kicks.

Are Wild Motherfuckers still active?

Yes, after their 2000s and 2010s run, 2024 brought new material including 'Who Is Calling 2024' and a 'Natural Born Raver' 2024 remix.
