Aftermovies to Theracords

Like half his generation, Kesting was converted at 14 by an older brother’s music and the aftermovies of Qlimax and Defqon.1. The energy on screen became the goal. He debuted on Theracords in 2017 and spent the following years sharpening a style that refuses to pick a side: raw’s kick discipline under euphoric’s melodic reach.

Activation

The breakthrough came with ‘Activation’ in 2023, the track that pushed him from promising name to front-rank riser. By 2025 he reached a milestone that says everything about his trajectory: Dare To Dream, his own personal showcase event at Amsterdam’s AFAS Live, the kind of solo stage usually reserved for the genre’s established headliners.

Why he matters

Hardstyle’s most interesting current lane is exactly where Aversion operates: the raw-meets-melody territory also explored by rawphoric acts, where emotional weight and kick violence coexist. Alongside contemporaries like Rejecta and Anderex, he is part of the generation deciding what hardstyle sounds like next.
